Cardiff University Chamber Choir, directed by international award-winning conductor Peter Leech, is a core ensemble at Cardiff University School of Music. Over the last eight years the choir has performed a wide variety of repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present day, with an emphasis on diversity. In recent years the choir have taken innovative concert programmes (prominently featuring the music of Morfydd Owen, Johanna Kinkel, Olivia Sparkhall, Undine Smith Moore, and many other women composers) on tours to China and Malaysia, and to prestigious concert venues across Wales. In 2024 the choir will release their first commercial CD on the Toccata Classics label comprising first recordings of music by the eighteenth-century Roman composer Maria Rosa Coccia.
